Scrolling through photos of a friend’s wedding online, Wiley lingered over a photo he couldn’t get out of his mind: Brooke’s. “I was blown away,” he recounts. “I reached out with an extremely lame line, and after she noted that fact, we began talking every day.” Wiley’s surprise proposal at a Houston restaurant—“I had them print our hashtag, #adventuresofbrookeandwiley, on the bottom of the menu, and when she saw that, she was so excited it took her a minute to notice the ring in the cake,” the groom explains—eventually led the pair, and 35 of their closest friends and family members, to Italy’s Amalfi coast, for a “simple yet elegant” destination celebration that reflected their passion for adventure. Before the big day, Wiley’s proposal also led the couple to Weddings in Houston’s signature I Do! Wedding Soiree, where they met photographer Taylor Golden White, who became not only their photographer, but also their dear friend!
